Shoot 8

This is the last shoot in Hartbeespoort, with my girl Gcebile.
This is really South African, so I hope you like what we came up with.
Enjoy the last shoot :)

Location: Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
This is a pencil dress with a coat over, so this outfit, as is can be worn by all body types, as nothing is being emphasised, so everything is hidden.
If you were to wear the dress alone, I would recommend an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure would best suit this type of dress as is a body fitted dress.

My experience:
So as this is was the final shoot, I obviously found this shoot the prettiest, because of the colours. When we found this place we were so excited, so this was perfect. We didn't know what to expect when we came to this village, in the middle of nowhere, so we had nothing in mind. I just brought all the outfits I had left and this is the outcome :)

This we had to do, so we entered the village and this was the entrance, we knew from the start that we had to use the accessories that the people were selling, so I placed myself between them and this is the result ;)

Location: Cultural village, Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
Pencil skirt: suitable for an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure. As mentioned in my previous post, the tips are the same.

My experience:
I had such an awkward experience in this place but was happy with the results of the pictures in this market. The ladies were too cute and made it even more enjoyable.
This is Africa alright, really had the real South African cultural experience at this village.

So Gcebile found this amazing cultural village, when we arrived :O we decided to take 3 different shoots there, so we'll have variety of different outfits just because we wanted to shoot everything in this village.
Here's a look at the 1st one ;)

Location: Lesedi Cultural Village (a few kilometres out, but still in Hartbeespoort South Africa)

Quick tip:
Pencil skirts, as in my previous post are suitable to an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure. An apple figure can wear this outfit if the waistline of the skirt is at the smallest part of the torso, pulling attention away from the bigger waistline.

My experience:
As you might remember this skirt from Bali, I literally just threw it in my bag, just in case I needed another outfit, so I clearly needed it :D
This was real South African, everything in this village was really just straight from way back when. Very down to earth, so no stress in shooting ;)

Shoot5

The bathroom shoot :D I can't really explain this shoot much. Gcebile, had the thought while we were sitting in the room just thinking about the next location.
Not going to say much, but here's a look at what she wanted.
Was meant to post this on friday, so will be posting again on Wednesday- days are way too crazy, sorry about that :)

Location: Bathroom, Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
As all pencil dresses/skirts, it is body fitting, so attention is on everything. I would recommend this outfit to an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure. You can't really hide much, so this is perfect for slender figures that don't have very obvious imperfections.

My experience:
This was very different for me, but we tried to make it work. Was just doing what the photographer said :D I hope she's proud.
Was an experience alright and this is what we made of it ;)

Shoot4

This shoot was a bit difficult, think we just didn't have the sun on our side, so it was a bit hard to get perfect shots, but this is what we managed.

Location: West Lake estate, Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
This outfit will suit all body types as there are details to take the attention off the hips and waist area.

My experience:
Hmmm, can't say much about this shoot just that we had trouble with lighting but had to have the lake in. This was truly a beautiful location, so had to make it work somehow.

Shoot3

Soooo, this was our tester- just to see if we really had it down ;)
This was an easy, relaxed shoot. All I really had to do was lay down.

My girl, Gcebile Matsimbe clearly knew what she was doing :D
Location: West Lake estate, Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
All pencil skirts suit an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figures, although an apple shaped can also pull this off as the jersey isn't tight fit, thus hiding the waist area.

My experience:
I can't say much about this shoot, didn't even have makeup on so it wasn't a hassle, just a lazy shoot :D
This was initially the first shoot we had, so I didnt really have much to prepare, but relax.

Shoot 1

This was such an amazing experience, so I came to South Africa to work on a few shoots with my girl, Gcebile Matsimbe (fashion blogger and photographer).
We had so many things in mind and it was so refreshing just brainstorming, trying to get the right mood across.
I could add this to the Fashion vs Nature project as most of the shoots were done outside.
Will be sharing them with you, just for you to have a look inside the minds of fashion bloggers/photographers and just people who love fashion.

The first shoot is at a horse stable at West Lake estate.

Location: Hartbeespoort, South Africa

Quick tip
This dress is suitable for an hourglass, pear shaped, rectangular and inverted-triangular shaped figure. It's such a busy pattern, so an apple-shaped could get away with this dress too.

My experience
This was a very relaxed experience, think it's because I did it with a friend and the surroundings were pretty relaxed, except for the deer that kept following us around, so half of the photos included him, but we were able to make this work out. This was beautiful and I loved just being comfortable and this was what we were aiming for.
