Fashion Photography 101

:) I'm back in Windhoek!!

Soo, this shoot wasn't quite planned. Made these coats and didn't have time to shoot them, so asked my friend Marisa to join me, so that I only have to shoot once :D
This was a bit complex and is at night so might look a bit creepy, but think of it as artistic, then we should be good ;)

Photo cred: Dee Conradie
Location: Windhoek city center

                                             Quick tip:
I could recommend this outfit/coat/ dress coat to an hourglass, inverted-shaped and rectangular shaped figure. As this is a pencil shaped coat, hips will be emphasised  and this is body fitted.

My experience:
It was a cold night and we ran out of time, so ended up having to make it work in the dark. Had to post these coats as I was asked about coats and dress coats, so I hope I made it work.
It was cold, yet again...and dark :D This is what we managed.

Fashion vs Nature

Day 36

This is the final shoot in Germany before I head back to Namibia, so this had to be worth it.
It is a very simple outfit but I chose it because I wanted to pay more attention to the beautiful scenery.
It was beautiful..

Location: Sinkershauser, Germany

Quick tip
This outfit is suitable for an hourglass, inverted-triangle, rectangular and pear shaped figure. An apple figure can adjust the waist of the skirt to the smallest part of the torso, thus taking attention away from the larger area.

My experience
As this was my last shoot, I need as much greenery as possible, so I found this location and knew it was perfect for the final shoot.
It was a bit grey but there was sunlight after it all and this was beautiful.
I loved this shoot, made me feel like I was in a 19th century film. I think the scenery was just beautiful, although it was a bit cold it was sooo worth it.

Fashion vs Nature

Day 34

Spontaneous trip to a town called Heidelberg, so was jus walking around a beautiful castle and the garden was so pretty, not really green just yet but nonetheless it was great :)
Outfit wasn't really planned, so just snapped the outfit of the day.

Location: Heidelberg, Germany

Quick tip
A pencil skirt suits an hourglas, inverted-shaped and rectangle shaped figure perfectly. It's pretty body fitted so emphasis on the waist and hips will be pretty evident.

My experience
This was so relaxing. It was a bit fresh, but the walk in the garden was so peaceful. Didn't plan this shoot, so it was really laid-back and spontaneous, so decided to post.
The garden was huge and had a number of secret locations, so it was fun getting lost in a type of maze. This is a garden I'd love to see again in summer :)

Fashion vs Nature

Day 33

This shoot was very different from all the others. I don't think I was so aware of the temperature like I was for this shoot..had to think hard so that I don't change my expression as it was very, very cold.
The outfit I used for this shoot wasn't planed as I had to wear a jersey because i wouldn't have made it any other way..
it came out pretty good though.

Location: Gladenbach, Germany.

Quick tip
This outfit can be worn by all body types. The waistline should just be shifted to the smallest part of the torso for the apple figured body type. Further, this outfit can be made as classy or laid back, depending on the accessories added.

My experience
This was a very difficult shoot because it was cold, but I managed to pull through until the end. It was a really nice shoot regardless and I must say I was smiling in most of the shots, so it wasn't that bad after all. I had fun and it was so worth fighting against the cold, just to make it work.

Fashion vs Nature

I'm not really calling this a day, just taking some pictures of the location search, think it made me change my mind regarding the outfit I'll be wearing here.
Had to find the right location and also because it's chilly here, how I can dress so that I don't freeze.

Location: Sinkershauser, Germany

Quick tip
This outfit suits all body types, the apple figured ladies will have to place the belt on the smallest part of the upper torso for the best results. You can't go wrong with this winter look :)

My experience
It was so chilly but the walk through the forest/woods was amazing. I was dressed for it, so it was really refreshing. Really had a chilled time finding the perfect location for the next shoot.
It should be fun..
