Fashion Photography 101

This is my last shoot until further notice..have a collection to work on :)

I made this coat and I always wanted something like this, so had to make it work.
It was excited to end all of this on a good note, so had to come to this location.

Photo cred: Thomas Mbandeka
Location: Heroes Acre, Windhoek Namibia

Quick tip:
As my previous post, all these coats are body fitted, pencil dress shaped so suitable for an hourglass, inverted triangle and rectangular figured body.

My experience:
I have never been here before so the open space was amazing, didn't want too many bushes, so everything was in the right proportions, so could play around everywhere.
I liked it here. Memorable and historical place where we see those fought for our country.
Had to take pictures here.

Shoot 8

This is the last shoot in Hartbeespoort, with my girl Gcebile.
This is really South African, so I hope you like what we came up with.
Enjoy the last shoot :)

Location: Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
This is a pencil dress with a coat over, so this outfit, as is can be worn by all body types, as nothing is being emphasised, so everything is hidden.
If you were to wear the dress alone, I would recommend an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure would best suit this type of dress as is a body fitted dress.

My experience:
So as this is was the final shoot, I obviously found this shoot the prettiest, because of the colours. When we found this place we were so excited, so this was perfect. We didn't know what to expect when we came to this village, in the middle of nowhere, so we had nothing in mind. I just brought all the outfits I had left and this is the outcome :)

Shoot5

The bathroom shoot :D I can't really explain this shoot much. Gcebile, had the thought while we were sitting in the room just thinking about the next location.
Not going to say much, but here's a look at what she wanted.
Was meant to post this on friday, so will be posting again on Wednesday- days are way too crazy, sorry about that :)

Location: Bathroom, Hartbeespoort South Africa

Quick tip:
As all pencil dresses/skirts, it is body fitting, so attention is on everything. I would recommend this outfit to an hourglass, inverted-triangle and rectangular shaped figure. You can't really hide much, so this is perfect for slender figures that don't have very obvious imperfections.

My experience:
This was very different for me, but we tried to make it work. Was just doing what the photographer said :D I hope she's proud.
Was an experience alright and this is what we made of it ;)

Fashion vs Nature

Day 31

So I'm on my way to the pool and decided to post something I would personally wear if I was going out to swim.
This outfit's white and light, so really self-explanatory for the beach.

Location: Kerobokan, Bali

Quick tip
This outfit is pretty basic, so whereas body shapes are concerned, I would suggest an hourglass, rectangle and inverted-shaped figure will be more suitable. However, if the dress was a bit loose all other figures will be able to wear it as no emphasis will be on the imperfections.

My experience
This was really chilled, didn't really have to do much work for this shoot, it was already late afternoon, so sun wasn't direct or harsh, thus making it so much more worthwhile.
This outfit is more for those who don't like too many crazy things and like to keep things simple, so had to add it to these tips.

Fashion vs Nature

Day 27

I'm in Bali, was in Denpasar driving around on a motor bike, just sight-seeing in town.
Couldn't really have a decent shoot because the wind literally blew me away, so what I have I'll gladly share.
I chose this outfit just to reflect the sun, as the weather was crazy. For example, blazing sun and then rain, then the wind was blowing- the shoot was bound to be interesting :)

Location: Denpasar, Bali (beach area and rice fields)
Bag by Amor Leather Trading

Quick tip
This dress is a plain pencil dress with some detailed work on the side, any type of pencil dress will suit an hourglass or an inverted triangle shaped figure. Rectangle shaped figure can wear this outfit although not much emphasise will be on the waist area.

My experience
In my opinion, wearing a dress on an island and driving around with a motor bike isn't really an ideal outfit, but I had to start it with something beachy that is decent, I know tomorrow will be very different.
This was fun, although I wasn't really prepared to take pictures today, but had to share my surroundings with you..
Bali is packed with tourist even off season, but managed to take some shots without them :D

Fashion vs Nature

Day 2 - Dinner

This was a long drive..
At Etosha Safari Lodge now.
The drive through the park was exhausting, so was looking forward to a nice dinner at the lodge.

Soooo, dressed for dinner :)

Jewellery sponsored by NamCrafts
Location: Etosha Safari Lodge (Gondwana collection)

 Quick tip

This pencil dress will suit an hourglass-, inverted-triangle and a pear-shaped figure. Flaws won't be seen due to all the fringes, which is at the hem of the dress and the whole sleeve, so hips won't be noticed, due to distractions :)

My experience

It's a beautiful place. Very peaceful and relaxing.
No place to be complaining :) Beautiful surroundings.
Tranquility mode activated..
